Something everyone living in Singapore has to contend with on a daily basis is the heat. While we’re able to hop in the bathe and take a cold shower or pop by the neighbourhood swimming complex for a refreshing dip in the pool, it’s unfortunately a bit more time-consuming and inconvenient for our dogs.

To make things easier, we’ve compiled a list of dog-friendly pools across the island where you can bring your pet to cool off on a hot sunny day.

1. Sunny Heights

One of the most popular dog pools on the island, Sunny Heights at Turf Club Road is a full-service pet hotel with daycare, boarding, and grooming services. It’s also home to Ah B Cafe, which serves up grub from a solid food menu. If you’re looking to spend an entire day with your pup beyond the swim, Sunny Heights has plenty for you to do.

The pool is also specially designed for pups, with entrance and exit ramps designed for ease of access as furniture brought in to allow both dog and owner to lounge by the pool together comfortably.

4. Hydro Canine

Similar to Canine Wellness & Rehab Centre, Hydro Canine offers hydrotherapy and to focuses on a dog’s health and wellness, seeing as swimming is widely regarded as an ideal way for dogs with injuries or weak joints to exercise with lowered risk of further injury.

Aside from hydrotherapy, Hydro Canine also offers customised weight management programmes to help your chubby pup shed pounds in a fun and safe manner.

5. Pet Stop

Tucked away in Upper Serangoon Road is Pet Stop, a full service pet supplies retailer that also offers boarding, grooming, and hydrotherapy.

The pools here are slightly smaller and customer reviews have mentioned previously that they only allow two dogs at a time in the pool so it’s best to call ahead to book a time slot. While this is definitely one of the most affordable dog pools around, there’s still a high emphasis on safety, with a therapist being present throughout to keep your pup safe.
