When it comes to pampering our dog’s on their special day, there’s no such thing as ‘too much’ or ‘extra’. No over-the-top celebration is complete without a cake that your pup can dig into, even if he’ll probably be clueless as to what’s going on when you’re singing him his birthday song.

1. The Barkery

A dog bakery that’s actually licensed by the AVA to produce food safe for dog consumption, The Barkery uses only human-grade ingredients in their food and all their products do not contain plain flour, sugar, sodium, cream, artificial preservatives, colourings, or flavours, so your dog might actually be eating better than most people do!

Note that The Barkery doesn’t offer any off-the-shelf cakes as all their cakes are made-to-order so you’ll need to call ahead to arrange for your own personalised cake.

AVA-licensed just like The Barkery, Barking Good was born after one dog owner refused to settle for off-the-shelf treats for her own pup, deciding to instead bake her own treats.

Barking Good also works closely with Nanyang Polytechnic’s Food Safety Centre to have their artisanal treats shelf-life tested, and aside from bespoke cakes, they also sell cupcakes (or ‘Pupcakes’ as they’re called) if you’re thinking of throwing your dog a party with his other fur friends.
